Nevada County Country Club is both a friendly, local Country Club and an excellent travel destination, or on-the-way stopping point. Highway 20 and Highway 49 both pass within 1 mile of Nevada County Country Club, creating an opportunity to explore the Gold Country or take a breather en route to Tahoe, Reno or west to Sacramento and San Francisco. Our team is friendly and service oriented, a reflection of our community.

Kelly Runkle
Pro/General Manager

kelly runkle pga golf proPGA golf professional Kelly Runkle is a native and lifelong resident of Roseville, where he took up the sport as a youngster and later played for the Roseville High School Golf Team and Sierra College. He is a graduate of California State University, Sacramento where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, marketing. He has been a member of the Professional Golfers Assoc. of America since 1999 and has competed regularly in PGA Northern California section events. He is experienced in small and large golf club management, having served as head golf professional at several country clubs in the Sacramento region, including Granite Bay GC, Woodbridge G&CC and Peach Tree G&CC. He served as assistant pro and tournament director at Turkey Creek. He has also worked with ClubCorp of America, a leading golf course management firm. He spent eight mid-career years with a Roseville-based accounting firm before returning to the golf industry. Runkle and his wife Kursti live in Roseville their daughter Kira, 17, and son Brayden, 14.

Vickie Harr
Head Bartender

Vickie was born and raised locally in Nevada City.  She has worked at the Nevada County Country club for 17 years.  She loves to golf, enjoys crafts, and spending time with family and friends.

Peter Chow
Superintendent

Peter has been Nevada County Country Club’s course superintendent for 10 years.  He enjoys an occasional round of golf to “check things out.”  He enjoys family time with wife Christine, daughter Ruby and son Parker.  An avid Giants fan, you may see him in San Francisco enjoying a game from time to time.
