Seventeen years ago, my family and I moved to Grass Valley from the Bay Area. I started a vending business, servicing all the little stores and gas stations around this area with jerky and salty snacks. At the same time, I had a successful yard service. In my spare time, I started playing golf. Playing golf has become my passion. I love the game, the NCCC course, and the club members. In 2018, I retired & now spend most of my time at the golf course. I feel that I could be productive in some form to the club and should be helping in whatever way I can.

Serving on the NCCC board has been both an honor and a pleasure. Weaving our way through the year of rain and now the current COVID pandemic has been challenging. Thanks to everyone on our great staff for doing their jobs so well each day and making the difficult times somewhat easier for us to manage. President Mark Ryan and General Mgr. Kelly Runkle are to be commended for their hard work and dedication. Both have shown extraordinary commitment that has inspired me to volunteer again for another term on the NCCC Board of Directors.
NCCC is so much more than a golf course. It is comprised of people in a community who enjoy coming together to volunteer their time, money and energy and make the club better. Some plant flowers. Others build walls, fill in potholes or paint the walls and yes some just like the golf. No matter which category you fall into each of us are proud to say we are members of the Nevada County Country Club.
Recently we have seen some nice improvements to our facilities and around the golf course. None of which could take place without the members involvement and participation. Much more can be accomplished in the years ahead. I look forward to being a part of the collective efforts.
Thank You for your consideration,

My wife Kim and I have been members at NCCC for 35 plus years.
I have been a local real estate lender and investor for the last 40 years, as well as a scientific glassblower since 1978 and have a shop in our home.
I previously served on the NCCC Board of Directors in the years 1994 and 1995 and assisted those two years helping Jeff Fish with all the club tournaments.
I again served on the board in 1997 and 1998 and worked with the superintendent, Bob Brueggaman.
I also worked at the club part time from 1999 to 2011.
I wish to run for the board to assist Kelly Runkle and the other board members in the ongoing projects as well as any new endeavors necessary to keep this great course running in a proper manner.
Thank you in advance for your consideration,
