Job Title: Golf Shop Attendant
Location: Nevada County Country Club, Grass Valley, CA

Position Summary:
The Golf Shop Attendant serves as the first point of contact for golfers and members at Nevada County Country Club. This role supports daily golf operations, delivers exceptional customer service, manages tee times, and maintains a clean and organized shop environment. Ideal candidates are friendly, reliable, and passionate about golf and member service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in members and guests in a warm and professional manner
- Operate the point-of-sale system for green fees, merchandise, and member payments
- Maintain appearance and organization of the golf shop, clubhouse and merchandise
- Answer phones and provide information about course conditions, events, and tournament registration
- Monitor pace of play, dress code and club rules
- Assist with opening and closing duties, daily reports, and inventory counts
- Deliver excellent customer service in a member-first environment
Qualifications:
- Previous golf shop, retail, or customer service experience preferred but not required
- Basic understanding of golf and golf terminology preferred but not required
- Proficient with POS systems and computer literate
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Friendly, reliable, and comfortable interacting with members of all ages
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and during club events
- Must be 18 years or older
Work Environment:
This position involves indoor and limited outdoor responsibilities in a relaxed yet professional country club setting. Job Title: Golf Course Maintenance – Experienced
Location: Nevada County Country Club, Grass Valley, CA
Reports To: Golf Course Superintendent
Status: Full-Time / Part-Time
Position Summary:
The experienced Golf Course Maintenance team member plays a key role in the care, upkeep, and playability of Nevada County Country Club’s historic 9-hole course. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in turf care, equipment operation, and seasonal course maintenance. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and knowledge of golf course standards are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain a variety of turf equipment (mowers, blowers, edgers, etc.)
- Perform daily course setup: cup cutting, tee and green maintenance, bunker raking
- Maintain and mow greens, tees, fairways, rough, and surrounding areas
- Assist with irrigation monitoring, adjustments, and minor repairs
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other turf treatments as directed
- Identify and report turf or irrigation issues to Superintendent
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of maintenance areas and equipment
- Follow daily job assignments and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Assist with special projects: aeration, overseeding, drainage, and tree work
- Ensure all work is performed with attention to environmental and safety standards
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of golf course maintenance or landscaping experience required
- Working knowledge of golf course turf practices and equipment operation
- Understanding of course setup and impact on golf playability
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work early mornings and weekends
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, efficient crew
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work outdoors in all weather
- Valid driver’s license preferred
